About Me
As an artist, I am guided by my attraction to the dynamic nature of life. Ever-evolving curiosity, propelled by my neurodivergence, directs my lifestyle and art. In my work, I aspire to find the balance between the contradictory forces that define my character. I am calculated yet whimsical; I am both gentle and assertive. I flow, but I also disrupt. I work with glass because of the accompanying dance I perform while attempting to emulate the push and pull of the medium. It is in this dance that glass and I endeavor to make a sculptural compromise in which we highlight each other's most engaging characteristics. This glass-induced, all-encompassing flow state allows me to express the coexistence of my mind and body. My work is a visual articulation of my journey toward unity within myself and my environment. I prioritize working with recycled bottle glass and found metals as a way of honoring the earth’s innate stability. Throughout my career as an artist, I have explored cultivating harmony through opposition. I am the most authentic version of myself when I appreciate the balance between all of my distinct, yet, complementary qualities. It is within this balance that I create work inspired by my appreciation for nature’s similar tides.
